Description
"Don't Call Me Fotografo" is the title of Enrico Rassu’s latest project: a multimedia work composed of a short story book, a limited edition photo box, and a major exhibition event in Milan, which will also involve the No Ball Games collective - marking the occasion of its one-year anniversary.
The photo box features a curated selection of photographs taken between 2017 and 2025 in cities such as Milan, London, and New York - capturing diverse artistic scenes, urban subcultures, music, graffiti, and portraits of some of today’s most influential contemporary artists. A faithful visual testimony of youth culture, lived up close. The photo box was made possible thanks to WUF and presented as an art piece at WUF Basel 2025: Celebrating Paper.
The short story book, the result of months of conversations, reflections, and exchanges, addresses key themes such as identity, creative work, mental health, relationships, generational shifts, and the "Instagram drug". Enrico’s lived experiences become a starting point for questioning what kind of society we are today, telling the story of those simply trying to find an alternative path - one that doesn’t necessarily fit into a predefined role.
"Don't Call Me Fotografo" is an artistic project that goes beyond the invitation to break the mold, as was the case with No Ball Games, this time dismantling roles, which risk boxing us in and making us believe we are only one thing.
